The crayons in the 1899 box bear derogatory or out-dated terms associated with the Deaf, while the crayons in the 1999 box are labeled with positive terms, illustrating the change in society's view of the Deaf. Library's copy is no. 22 of an edition of 100 with no artist's proofs.
