Ohi Chozaemon X
Ohi is the name of a particular type of pottery as well as a family name. Ohi Chozaemon X is the tenth generation to create Ohi ceremonial tea ware, traditional ceramics that are hand built, low fired, and often covered with an amber glaze. Ohi Chozaemon X, whose work has garnered a world-wide reputation, has also developed more contemporary designs using colored glazes. The artist donated the two bowls on the occasion of being awarded an honorary doctorate of fine arts from RIT in 1997.Artist Gallery (1 Total)
