Jacob Landau

Born in 1917, Landau studied at the Philadelphia College of Art, where he earned a certificate in 1938. His career in teaching was primarily at Pratt Institute and he earned fellowships at Tamarind Lithography Workshop and the Guggenheim Foundation. His preferred media was watercolors, wood, and lithography and themes were often of social commentary. His prints can be found in the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art collections.
