Rockwell Kent

Rockwell Kentís paintings, woodcuts and lithographs often depict rugged natural scenes set in harsh northern climates. Kentís career was varied, and he worked in trades as varied as drafting, lobstering, and carpentry. Kentís political views led to his U.S. passport being revoked in the 1950s, until he successfully sued to have it reinstated Ė his case ultimately went before the Supreme Court.
