Rockwell Kent

Rockwell Kent (1882-1971) was best known for paintings, woodcuts, and lithographs that often depict rugged natural scenes set in harsh northern climates. Kent’s career included trades work such as drafting, lobstering, and carpentry. Kent’s political views led to his U.S. passport being revoked in 1950s, until he successfully sued to have it reinstated – his case ultimately went before the Supreme Court.
